Over 300 positions need to be filled. New employee training has already started at PVH as the medical community prepares for the move in date at the new Medical Center of the Rockies  on December 15, 2006. The opening date 1s  February 2007. There will be an open house for the community on Feb. 3, 2007.

Thousands of applications have been received by the fourteen person hiring team which has the responsibility to fill  the employee needs of the new facility .Over 60% of all the applications coming from over a dozen states are former Coloradoans who want to move back. The 300 positions need to be filled in the next month or so. The competition for the new positions seems to be very keen as over 30,000 applications have been received.

About 300 people will transfer from PVH to MCR when it opens in February. The present employees can earn up to $2,000 by referring a person for a position who is accepted. All new full and part time employees are eligible for medical insurance on the first day.

PVH is a non profit organization which allows them to concentrate on patient care as their number one mission. It is this patient centered culture that they have developed that they want to insure continues at the new hospital.

All types of positions are open at the new facility not just medical staff. They are hiring a chaplain, dietitians, groundskeepers and administrative staff. Also needed lab technicians and cafeteria staff.

If you know other languages they are hiring an interpreter coordinator as well.

Other positions where people are needed include operating room technologies, building maintenance, speech pathologist, infection control, counselors and anesthesia assistants.

The focus is now on the harder to fill specialties like nurses, pharmacy techs, radiology techs, respiratory specialists, physical therapists and speech pathologists.

They also need insurance coders, medical transcriptionist neurodiognostic techs and cytotechnologists.
