Posted April 27, 2008  Front Range Village is planning to open around July 28, 2008. Just three short months and Fort Collins Shoppers will have many new stores in which to keep our economy rolling. Area shoppers as far away as Nebraska and Wyoming are also looking forward to the opening of this brand new life style center.

In conjunction with the Promenade Shops and Marketplace in Loveland it will give regional shoppers one of the best shopping areas in the state of Colorado in which to shop.

As of this date the anchors are Lowes, Super target, Staples, Sports Authority and Toy's R Us/Baby's R Us. Also committed are Lane Bryant, Dress barn, DSW, Payless and Famous Footwear. Specialty stores are Ulta Cosmetics, Great Clips, Game Shop, Foothills Cleaners, Runners Roost, GNC, Compass Bank and Claires. All of the specialty shops except Ulta presently have Fort Collins locations and no announcements yet whether these are additional locations or whether they will be moving to this new location.

Only three food locations have officially announced but the leasing people have stated that there are negations going on with restaurants of all calibers some brand new to Fort Collins. The three committed restaurants are Qdoba, Silver Mine Subs and Juice It Up.

The city of Fort Collins is still very concerned about sales tax drain to Loveland and Timnath or so they are saying. However, at the same time they turn down the re-zoning of and area for retail and office commercial at Prospect and I-25. This decision will insure that the drain will continue as Timnath will get the retail planned for that interstate intersection.

Posted October 27, 2006  Front Range Village Planning. From this 109 acre former corn field will develop Fort Collins newest shopping extravaganza. This will be the home of Front Range Village. Front Range Village is being developed by Bayer Properties a national developer of well designed and well thought out commercial developments.

The 109 acres will be built into a 900,000 square foot commercial retail and office development. This town center concept will be slightly larger than it's already developed neighbor to the south The Promenade Shops at Centerra.

At the present time ground breaking is scheduled for early 2007. The two major tenants which have been announced are a Super Target and a Lowe's Home Improvement Center.

Since Bayer's design beginnings of this project their has been talk and planning for a new branch library built into this project. At this stage the plan is still there. However, the city has budget problems so the library idea has remained an idea.  There is an upcoming election with a special referendum included on the ballot for additional library funding. If this passes it is quite possible that it will provide for a much needed library expansion at this location.

Front Range Village will be a hybrid mix of large format retail, junior anchors and many restaurant parcel on the perimeters. One of the unique design features is that the Village will include office space on the second floors of some buildings. That feature along with the diagonal parking feature will give the village a feeling much like old downtown Fort Collins. The village will incorporate many small retail stores along it's streetscape and offer shoppers and visitors many sidewalks to stroll about on.

The center will have excellent pedestrian and bicycle access via many pathways. As you can see in the plans below their are many water features that will be incorporated in the design.
