Ft. Collins has many things-to-do and attractions to keep the whole family busy for many months. There are people who have lived here for years who have yet to visit all of the many Ft Collins attractions. The Ft Collins attractions below are the major ones in the Northern Colorado area. Avery House. One of Ft. Collins best examples of it's history. A National Historic Place. Built in 1879. The owner and builder Franklin Avery is the man we have to thank for the wide streets as he was the towns first surveyor. Link

New Belgium Brewery 500 Linden St. Near Downtown Ft. Collins. Tours year around. Visiting? Calling ahead may be wise. Link.

 Rollerland Skate Center. Located on 324 Link Lane this old established Ft. Collins venue is still a popular city attraction and family center. Hours vary by month. Rollerland has public skating as well as school and church days.  See Calendars at Link

 Odell Brewing Company Old Town Ft Collins. The tasting room offers taster trays. Tours Year around. Link Map

Anheuser-Busch Brewery & Clydesdale Barn. Located just off I-25 at Mountain Vista Dr.  North of Ft Collins. Link Map
Tours Oct-May: Thursday-Monday 10:AM-4:00pm.
Tours June-Aug: 9:30AM-4:30PM.
Tours: Sept. 10:00am-4:00pm.

 

 

The Fort Collins Museum 200 Matthews St. Ft Collins. It's mission is to explore the legacies of the peoples and environments of the Cache La Poudre River Valley. Link

 Rocky Mountain National Park. Located west of Ft. Collins. South to Loveland then west on US34 to Estes Park. Open Year around. Trail Ridge Road, Highest continues highway in US, Open Memorial Day to Labor Day. Deer, Elk, moose, coyote, bear, cougar and big horn sheep. Link.

Pawnee National Grassland. Located 70 miles East of Ft. Collins on Highway 14. A visit to this National Grassland is like returning to the way it was in the 1860's when the first white settlers arrived here. Michener's book Centennial was based on this grassland area. Great walks,  hiking and birding. At night the stars are unreal. Link.

Horsetooth Reservoir. Just West of Ft. Collins behind the first ridge of foothills. 1900 acres of great boating and fishing water. 2,000 acres of public land. Campgrounds. Near or around are many trails and Horsetooth rock. Link

Poudre Canyon. West of Ft Collins is US Highway 14. A spectacular drive featuring the only wild river (no dams)  left in America the Cache La. Poudre River. Means Powder hiding place. Drive crosses the continental divide and reaches Walden Colorado. Walden has great restaurants and real good moose viewing. Link.

Fort Fun. A family amusement Center. Includes a 36 hole miniature golf course, slick track and family go carts, bumper boats, laser tag, water games, and arcade.  Link.

City Park Railway This delightful little train is a favorite of the very young. The miniature train runs summers in city park Admission charge. Map

Edora Park Disc Golf. One of Ft Collins favorite recreation spots. This 18 hole flying disc golf course can be played anytime. You need only get in line at whole one. This is a very highly used facility. Map

Ft Collins & Area Trail System. One of Ft Collins favorite and most used recreation facilities is the abundant trails, open areas and parks. Trails

Discovery Science Center Museum. 703 E. Prospect Ft Collins. Colorado's only hands on science and technology center with 130 incredible interactive exhibits. Link
